General Booking & Cancellation Policy


The following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to all bookings and transactions made with Jokotta Discoveries via the use of this website or through any and all means (including but not limited to email, telephone, SMS, instant messaging, social media etc). Please take the time to go through and understand these, as by booking and transacting through this Website or through any and all means with Jokotta Discoveries, the user acknowledges acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions constitute your binding obligations with Jokotta and shall be enforceable in the same manner as any other written agreement

In the event you, on behalf of yourself or any person or group opt for the services of Jokotta or our Experience partners or partner tour agency/operator, or any other services through our website, or through any and/or all means, you acknowledge and agree that all the individuals, whether as a group or otherwise, on behalf of whom you are visiting our website and/or interacting with us through any and all means and/or booking the services, have read and accepted the terms and conditions, this booking and cancellation policy, privacy policy and cookie policy of the website. In the case of any violation of these Terms and Conditions, Jokotta Discoveries and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Jokotta”), reserve the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations. These are legally binding terms and conditions for your use of this website and login, and/or for any bookings made through any and all means with Jokotta. In these terms, the user may be referred to as “you”, “your”, “my” and Jokotta Discoveries may be referred to as “Jokotta”, “we”, “our” and “us”. In case of any conflict between policies defined in Booking Terms & Cancellation Policies and Terms & Conditions, the policies specified under Terms & Conditions shall prevail. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.


Limitation on Liability

Jokotta merely provides intermediary services in order to facilitate highest quality services to you. Jokotta is not the last-mile service provider to you and therefore it shall not be or deemed to be responsible for any lack or deficiency of services provided by any person (airline, travel/tour operator, experience partner or similar agency) you shall engage or hire or appoint pursuant to or resulting from the material available in this website. Neither Jokotta nor any of its directors, employees, agents, vendors or suppliers will be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, consequential or incidental damages including, without limitation, lost profits or revenues, costs of replacement goods, loss or damage to data arising out of the use or inability to use this Website or any Jokotta product, or damages from the use of or reliance on the information present on this Website, or otherwise provided by Jokotta, even if Jokotta has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Cancellation, No Show and Refunds will be as per operator policies, which will be mentioned on the trip pages on this website, or otherwise provided to you. At Jokotta, our aim is to provide a convenient, high quality, transparent service, and as such we will make utmost efforts to ensure communication of all relevant information, but the onus of obtaining all such relevant information rests with you, the user.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Jokotta harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the Site and any services provided therein or otherwise by Jokotta.

The Contract

Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when Jokotta issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to Us immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport/acceptable government identification document, failing which, service may be refused at the point of delivery, with no recourse or refund possible.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to Jokotta and the Tour Operator/Experience partner

Booking on Behalf of Others

By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your Tour booking, notifying Jokotta if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.

By booking on behalf of another person or persons, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and Jokotta will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.

Required Medical Information

You must provide any medical information reasonably requested by Jokotta and may be required to complete Jokotta's medical information form provided as part of your final confirmation process.

Medical Forms are mandatory for certain Tours. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions which may impact your ability to travel, participate in a Tour, travel to remote areas without access to medical facilities or may adversely affect the experience of others on your Tour, you must return a Medical Form, signed by a licensed and practicing physician to Jokotta prior to or at the time of final payment for the applicable booking.

You agree to complete the Medical Form honestly and to disclose all relevant medical information accurately and fully. Jokotta reserves the right to request further information or professional medical opinions where necessary, as determined in its discretion, for your safety or the safe operation of a Tour. Jokotta reserves the right to deny you permission to travel or participate in any aspect of a Tour at any time and at your own risk and expense where the Tour Operator determines that your physical or mental condition renders you unfit for travel or you represent a danger to yourself or others.

Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed to Jokotta at the time of booking. We may refuse to carry pregnant women over 24 weeks. The Tour Operator may refuse to carry anyone with certain medical conditions if reasonable accommodation or alternatives cannot be arranged.

You are responsible for assessing whether a Tour is suitable for you. You should consult your physician to confirm your fitness for travel and participation in any planned activities. You should seek your physician’s advice on vaccinations and medical precautions. Jokotta does not provide medical advice. And where information is provided by Jokotta on a good faith basis, it shall not be deemed as medical advice. It is your responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each aspect of the Tour based on your own unique circumstances, limitations, fitness level and medical requirements.

Travel booked through Jokotta may involve visiting remote or under developed regions, where medical care may not be easily accessible and medical facilities may not meet the standards of those found in your home city or country. The condition of medical facilities in the cities or countries you may visit on your Tour varies and Jokotta makes no representations and gives no warranties in relation to the availability or standard of medical facilities in those regions.

Special Requirements

Any special requirements must be disclosed to Us at the time of booking. We will use reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests but this is not always possible given the nature of the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Certain activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Us at the time of booking but We cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and Us and Jokotta is not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.

Prices, Surcharges and Taxes

Though unlikely, the published price of the Tour and any products or services offered by Jokotta is subject to change at any time, before or after booking confirmation, up to 15 days before departure. Tours may be priced and advertised exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes. The inclusion/exclusion of taxes or any other components will be mentioned in the published cost and/or in our quote to you with as much accuracy as possible. After a confirmation receipt has been issued by Us, we will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that your cost does not change. However, We reserve the right to impose surcharges on any products or services booked for reasons arising from increases in transportation costs, fuel costs, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airport charges, local operator costs, currency and exchange fluctuations, increases in taxes, or government action which impacts the price of the applicable products or services.

Cancellation Terms – General

All bookings made on or through Jokotta, through the website and/or through any and all means, are subject to the terms & conditions as requested by end supplier. All completed transactions are valid for cancellation depending on the time duration specified by the hotel, activity providers and/or partner in their respective destinations, unless otherwise mentioned.

Refunds will be provided consistent to the cancellation policy specified at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to read, understand and clarify said policy.

We will not entertain any cancellations for trips purchased unless there are cancellations allowed by our partners. There will be no refunds provided in such cases as where cancellations are not allowed by the end suppliers of the tour.

Unless otherwise specified at the time of booking or the product pages or the experience brochure provided by Jokotta and where cancellation requests are allowed by suppliers and partners of Jokotta, We will honour cancellation requests made up to 30 days prior to the date of departure. Refunds, if any, in most cases will be made using the same payment method as used by the user while booking within 30 working days, on a best effort basis, and such refunds shall be subject to deduction of cancellation charges as specified on the relevant product/service page. 

In case of a full or a partial refund, or credit hold for a future trip, only the amount attributed the the tour itself will be considered for refund/credit. Any bank transfer charges, payment gateway charges, currency conversion charges, taxation amounts and any and all such charges which are not directly attributed to the tour will be non-refundable.

No refunds or compensation will be payable by Jokotta in the event (i) that any participant is not permitted to, or decides not to undertake (No Show) or complete the tour, for any reason whatsoever; and (ii) any cancellation request received within 30 days from the date of travel.


Force Majeure: If performance of any service or tour, whether booked, or confirmed or paid for, or advertised by Jokotta is prevented, restricted, delayed or interfered with by reason of labour disputes, strikes, acts of God, epidemic outbreaks, floods, lightning, severe weather, shortages of materials, rationing, utility or communication failures, earthquakes, war, revolution, acts of terrorism, civil commotion, acts of public enemies, blockade, embargo or any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand or requirement having legal effect of any government or any judicial authority or representative of any such government, or any other act whatsoever, whether similar or dissimilar to those referred to in this clause, which are beyond the reasonable control of Jokotta and/or its experience partners and/or tour operators/agencies performing such services and/or tours and could not have been prevented by reasonable precautions (each, a "Force Majeure Event"), then such party shall be excused from such performance to the extent of and during the period of such Force Majeure Event.

Any cancellations/delays of a tour by Jokotta or its Experience partners or Tour operators/agencies during or due to a Force Majeure Event may be unavoidable. In such cases, Jokotta will make all reasonable efforts to either get the same tour, or one of similar value performed at a later date, or issue a cancellation of the tour with a credit note that can be used for some other tour marketed by us, or any other reasonable and/or possible options. If You refuse all options provided and demand a refund for a tour cancelled or postponed due to a Force Majeure event, then We reserve the right to refuse such a refund. It will be our endeavour to ensure minimal monetary loss to all parties concerned, but our efforts will not be deemed as admission of refund liability. In these cases, We may or may not be able to issue a full or even a part refund.

Terms for Hold Spot or Reserve a Spot or Holding a Booking Functionality

We may charge a specified percentage of offered price of the tour package for holding a spot on a tour for a specified interval of time. However, the final confirmation will be issued only if the balance payment is realized by Jokotta within the stipulated time subject to following terms and conditions.

Until the payment is realized in full, should there be an increase in prices, the same will be intimated and charged to you in accordance to the terms listed in the section labelled ‘Prices, Surcharges and Taxes’ of this document.

Until the payment is realized in full, the booking is subject to cancellation by Jokotta without prior notice.

If the payment is not approved on given credit card number(s), you will be notified as soon as possible. In such a scenario you need to speak to the credit card company, or provide alternate credit card number, or change mode of payment as applicable.

In case of unavailability of the offered or equivalent hotels, services, activities, guides, we will refund your paid amount without any deductions.

Airfare and Airline Ticketing

Unless otherwise expressly mentioned, tour prices do not include domestic or international or other airfare. In such cases, the user is required to book their own air travel tickets as required. In case a user books airfare in regards to a trip booked with Us, and for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to cancellation by the User, cancellation by the Host, cancellation by Jokotta, or a force majeure event, the user is unable to undertake or participate in the trip, We will not be responsible for the losses incurred by the user in cancellation of airfare, and will not be liable for any compensation in this regard. Our liability for refund will be strictly limited to what has been mentioned in this document.

Please consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions and conditions of carriage for complete information including applicable cancellation terms.  

Travel Documents

It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to each country or region. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies. In case of international travel, You must have a passport that is valid 6 months after the last date of travel as set out on your itinerary. You accept full responsibility for obtaining all such documents, visas and permits prior to the start of the Tour, and you are solely responsible for the full amount of costs incurred as a result of missing or defective documentation. You agree that you are responsible for the full amount of any loss or expense incurred by Jokotta that is a direct result of your failure to secure or be in possession of proper travel documentation. Jokotta does not provide advice on travel documents and makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of any information provided on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, or special equipment and you agree that Jokotta is not responsible for any errors or omissions in this information.
