Gorilla tourism sustains local economies. This means that the locals are fiercely protective of the primates, and the Gorillas, in turn, don't fear humans. You're not allowed to approach them, but it is not unusual for a baby gorilla to run to you to check you out!

When is the best month to travel to Kenya?

1. June to September:

  •  Ideal for gorilla trekking, with favourable weather and increased visibility.

2. December to February:

  • Another optimal period, offering clear skies and pleasant conditions.

3. March to May:

  •  Rainy season; gorillas move to lower altitudes, making them easier to spot but preparing for rainfall. Be equipped for rain during the wet season, ensuring a rewarding and comfortable gorilla trekking experience.

FAQ's about Kenya
